The Last One

Due to the recent catastrophe down in the IT lab, I have decided to make this post (the 8th post) the very last one.

I am going to leave the subject up to you! You can write on whatever you want, just as long as its at least 1/2 a page.

I hope you enjoyed blogging!

Cheers
Mr Franco :)

In a perfect world

Describe to me your perfect PC.

  • What platform will you run on it (windows or mac)?
  • How much RAM would it have?
  • How much hard drive space would you like?
  • How big will the screen be?
  • What programs will you install?
  • How fast is the processor?
  • Do you need a savage graphics card?

Make sure you keep within a reasonable affordable budget (so don't tell me you want 32GB of RAM or 10TB of space!).

Cheers

GPS in your GPS

GPS - Global Positioning Satellite. You all know what it is, but have you thought about the implications for such a tiny device?

In the future, GPS chips will be in EVERYTHING (...well almost). They are already in Cameras, iPhones and some peripherals electronic devices.

Dream big and tell me what implications this has for YOUR future, and what you think it might look like with GPS enabled devices.

Buy me a PC!

John is an average Aussie bloke who is interested in purchasing a PC for his family. Mary his wife loves to sit on Facebook chatting to all her old High School friends. She occasionally checks her email and looks through some photos. Lilly their daughter tends to play lots of music, and would love the ability to stream the music to her room somehow so it wont disturb the rest of the house. And then there is the son Sam - a mad apple kid! He loves everything Apple, and is trying to convince his dad to by an Apple computer. Sam likes to twiddle around on Photoshop, he checks his emails and likes to take thousands of digital photographs.

Given that John doesn't earn lots of money, he is having a hard time justifying why he would purchase a Mac when a PC is so much cheaper.

Discuss 5 positives and negatives for purchasing a PC, and discuss 5 positives and negatives for purchasing a Mac. John will then use this information to make his final decision. (1 page)
